Recent Publication in Clinical Endocrinology

Dr. Vanden Brink and PhD student Joelle Sfeir co-authored a newly published invited review in Clinical Endocrinology alongside collaborators from the University of Colorado Anschutz, Harvard University, and the University of Florida. The review, titled Obesity Management in Female Adolescents, discusses the prevalence of obesity in adolescent females, current guidelines for optimal management, including considerations for lifestyle modification, mental health and sleep disorders in this population. The review also discusses the use of GLP-1 agonist and bariatric surgery as treatment options with individual patient evaluation.
